My Music Wishlist

The thing about music that is perpetually interesting is that there always seems to be something new to buy. Innovation in every area of performance and production keeps my wishlist full all the time. My latest wishes are a Taylor T5z Mahogany acoustic/electric guitar, an LR Baggs Paracoustic DI, and a McClostone amp made by my friend Aaron McCloskey.

I've gotta pay some bills first, but it's always fun to dream.

Taggart & Silas played our final gig for now a few weeks ago at City Star Brewing. I will miss Todd's friendship and musicianship immensely, and I wish him a good road ahead. This has been by far the most rewarding and enjoyable musical partnership I've ever had. Bands can be as intense as marriages sometimes, and it's more than a blessing to find someone to work with who fits seamlessly. Todd has been that kind of a fit for me.

I'm still feeling like I'm in recovery mode with my thyroid condition. I've gotten excellent help and I am feeling better, but it's a slow rebound. I was happy to play last week for Ronnie and Elaine Owens' Hillside Folks Festival in Fort Collins, and I suspect that I'll be looking for similar gigs that aren't more than an hour or so. I'm playing lead guitar and singing harmony vocals for my pal Paul Chet, and I feel like that is something I can sustain. We're having our CD release for the new album, Baked, Not Fried on August 11 at Avo's in Fort Collins. It's sold out, but there may be some tickets released the day of the show.

In the meantime I have a huge desire to finish recording all the songs I've written since 2001, and some that are even older than that. I'll be making those available on my Bandcamp page as they're finished, and I'm going to fire up a Patreon page for people who have asked about how they can continue to support my music.

Finally, I'm enjoying the coaching and consulting work that I'm doing, and I would love to do more. If you are a creative person who wants to build a business that is centered on your creative work, please get in touch. I help people in every stage of business, from concept to start up, to expansion, to sale. If you want a shorter road to success in your business, I can help.

Thanks all as ever for your encouragement and support!

Much love,

Franklin
